Quotations are invited for the provision of a Library E-Lending Service

Sefton Council?s library service is looking to commence with an e-lending service for the first time. As a new entrant we wish to contract with one contractor only in the first instance. Once this is completed we will review our budgetary and operational position to see whether it will be feasible to engage with further suppliers at a later stage.
Sefton is a Metropolitan Borough Council and delivers its library service via 6 static libraries across the north of Merseyside. Three of these libraries are co-located in two leisure centres and an arts centre. All service points have Wi-Fi.

The population of the Borough is approximately 262,000 (as at Nov 2013) and there are approximately 47,000 active users of the library service.

ICT services within Sefton Council are managed by the third party provider arvato and all operating systems must be compliant with their requirements.

Sefton uses the Koha library management system provided by PTFS Europe Ltd and any e-lending bidder will be expected to work in co-operation with the LMS supplier.
