Description

MIDAS (Manchester Investment and Development Agency Service Ltd) is the inward investment agency for Greater Manchester, providing free of charge advice and assistance to national and international organisations looking to locate in the area or expand their existing operations. MIDAS' services include the provision of market research and labour information, assistance with finding property, access to finance and help to recruit and train staff.

MIDAS wishes to appoint a consultancy/agency to provide lead generation support to increase FDI investment from high growth European SMEs into Greater Manchester. This activity will sit alongside the proactive SMEs targeting that MIDAS currently delivers internationally and supports the overall aim of successfully attracting international SMEs to set up in Greater Manchester and resulting job creation. MIDAS is specifically targeting SME's that are looking to scale up at pace in the UK and therefore the successful applicant will need to have specific knowledge or analytics capabilities that can identify businesses that are at this stage of their development cycle as well as looking at expanding into the UK. MIDAS will expect introductions to at least 40 qualified SMEs that fit the above growth description that have the intention to establish a physical presence in Greater Manchester and create between 5 and 50 (or beyond) jobs per SME by June 2023.
