Description
Pre-Market Engagement
The Council is looking to notify Contractors of its intention to go to market to procure a contract for the construction of a housing scheme. The project will deliver nine new council homes on a council owned site on Market Street, Goldthorpe. The development area includes the obsolete Goldthorpe market compound and adjacent car park . The build specification is a traditional build method to the Council's low carbon build specification. The specification exceeds the current building regulation requirements for thermal energy efficiency through a fabric first approach. The properties will have high levels of insulation, air source heat pumps, storage batteries and solar PV panels. The plans include highway works and landscaping This notice is to make Contractors aware of the opportunity and the procurement and construction timeline the Council is working towards to allow them to prepare their organisation to tender and build.
The Council is looking to invite Contractors to a session on 23rd February to share details of the scheme and timeline.
