Description

RBG Kew Science (Kew Science) is looking for a digital design studio or agency with experience of working with world-class public bodies, scientific or educational institutions of a similar nature to RBG Kew who also have experience of delivering responsive design and navigation for complex, content-driven sites. The successful agency will take a user-centric approach to design and a collaborative approach to delivery to create the following:

• a fresh approach to the responsive design for the Kew Science web presence which will showcase the science at Kew;
• webpages and, where relevant, portals, to highlight the nine strategic outputs in an engaging and inspiring way;
• a visual language for RBG Kew's science on the web, which we can then provide as guidelines to colleagues and apply to existing and future products;
• a revision of our current information architecture to create clearer and more consistent navigation across science;
• improvements in the user experience in key areas including ensuring it is accessible; and
• robust content management and editorial capabilities for science staff - the ability for Kew staff to easily generate and edit content e.g. multiple templates, user guidelines, publishing workflows.

Through this work we aim to achieve our strategic priorities and objectives more effectively, engage and communicate with our audiences more successfully on mobile, tablet and desktop, serve the right content to the right people and set a new standard for botanical science on the web.
