Description

A requirement now exists in the School of Computing, Science & Engineering to procure various items of laboratory equipment to enable undergraduate and postgraduate students to carry out testing on a wide range of engineering materials.

This equipment will typically include apparatus for hardness and impact testing, plus a testing machine suitable for carrying out tensile tests on samples requiring tensile loads of up to 2.5kN. For the purpose of teaching demonstrations all the above equipment should be provided with suitable software to enable respective test results to be processed and displayed to student groups by means of overhead screens or projectors.

The lowest value has been declared at £25,000 but the University does not know at this stage what the actual value might be. Please go to https://in-tendhost.co.uk/salford/aspx/Home to register and apply.
