Description
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as 'The Council') is looking to appoint a specialist Contractor experienced in the fields of concrete repair, renewal and over-coating of applied deck membranes and ideally Cathodic Protection often associated with single or multi deck concrete car parks.
This scope of work, described more fully in other Tender documents, is to occur at the Councils owned and operated five storey (0-4 levels) split level publically used multi storey car park in the town centre of Welwyn Garden City. The top level 4 is open to the sky and is to be fully treated with more localised but similar work on the lower floors.
The project to also include all necessary temporary works, reinstatements, access equipment, logistics, CDM and other compliance and passive or active traffic management such that the majority of parking bays remain open for public use. The car park operates a single traffic flow direction with a double width up / down adjacent ramps between levels and three cross flow routes on each level.
The Contract will be let on a JCT Design and Build 2016 Building Contract with some Client required clause variations.
It is mandatory that the successful Contractor is a member of the concrete repair association.
