The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) would like to undertake market engagement with Commercial Fuel providers and Forecourt Operators to establish supply interest and obtain an understanding of supply capability to meet MPS fuel and storage requirements.

The purpose of this PIN is to establish the measure of interest in the market and conduct soft market engagement for the intended goods and services (Bulk Fuel requirements) to help inform a subsequent procurement exercise.

The MPS may at its sole discretion enter into discussions with respondents through this PIN.

Information provided will be used to inform the MPS in its continued development of delivery and procurement strategies for any future contracts that follow on from this PIN. A PIN overview document is available to view which contains further information on the engagement requirements.

Suppliers wishing to participate in this early market engagement exercise and view all/any associated documents are invited to register their interest via the following link

(please copy and paste the link into your internet browser)

The PIN engagement will be hosted on the eTendering platform, Coupa. The event reference is 64.

Please search for the event reference (64) to ensure you express interest in the correct event (the PIN).

*Please note, any future procurement activity arising from this engagement may include a lot structure however at this current time it is not known how many lots there will be.

Additional Information:

PIN validity period is until 31st March 2021 @ 12pm (BST). Suppliers responses to the PIN (the engagement) must be submitted by this deadline - 31st March 2021 @ 12pm (BST).

This means the PIN will remain open and live until 31st March @ 12pm (BST). There after (unless otherwise extended) the PIN will expire.

No new suppliers will be permitted to express an interest to the PIN after the PIN validity period has expired.

Those suppliers who have expressed an interest to the PIN (before the expiry date) will remain in the PIN engagements and subsequent future updates by the MPS post 31st March 2021.

The MPS may at its sole discretion extend/ amend/update/ delete/ cancel any elements of the PIN and associated documents and/ or in its entirety without liability to the MPS what so ever.

There may be a time lag between the two notifications, the PIN notification being published on Coupa (Event 64) and the notification being published on Find A Tender notice/ Contracts Finder.
