Description

The London Borough of Newham is inviting tenders for its Connect Newham Befriending Service. The intended contract start date will be 4th January 2022 for a 1 year contract. This is an invitation to tender.

The London Borough of Newham wishes to commission one VCFS organisation or a group of VCFS organisations (as a consortium, with one identified lead) to deliver the Connect Newham Befriending Service: provision of a medium-long term telephone-based Befriending offer particularly for those who are socially isolated.

The Service Provider will be expected to work in collaboration with other providers in Newham delivering preventative support, volunteering opportunities, and community activities, as well as with Service Users, local communities, the Council, NHS, and all other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the Service.

The tender will be evaluated based on 40% Quality and 60% Price.
Bidders should be aware that, regardless of their price, to be considered for award of this contract they must achieve an overall quality evaluation score of no less than 60%, (equivalent to a weighted score of 24 out of 40).
Bids that exceed the costs of £120,000 will be rejected by the Council.
