Description

Birmingham Childrens Trust would like to invite you to submit information to provide an Early Help and Intervention service for children and young people who require an intervention who are at risk of their school attendance being impacted by behaviours, are at risk of exclusion or has been excluded and have no school place.
We are seeking to procure a service who will actively engage primarily Children and Young People of school age to bring change and increase the opportunities available for these Children and Young People. The provider will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust to receive referrals for children and young people who are of statutory school age, predominantly children in primary school however, where applicable the expectation practitioner will accept referrals for those who may not be in primary school including children and young people who are not of statutory school age.
The service will be required to support Children and Young People through a range of practical interventions that increase engagement and opportunities available, Practitioner officer must have:
o Extensive experience of engaging with Children and Young People
o Ability to understand Children and Young People's behaviours
o Experience of working with professionals and within a partnership environment
o Have a clear understanding of the role and remit, and any relevant case law
o The ability to take accurate notes and update systems that are applicable to this contract
o Advocate and raise concerns on behalf of the Child and Young Person, intervening, when necessary, i.e., welfare of Child or Young Person is not being promoted
