Description
South Gloucestershire Council is a Unitary Authority in the South West of England. The Council currently commissions a variety of services for adults and children.
The Council is inviting tenders from potential suppliers who may be interested in delivering a Housing Related Support Service for Young People aged 16 - 25.
There are two contracts:
Woodleaze, a new supported housing scheme in Yate, South Gloucestershire for up to 18 young people with higher support needs, half of which will be care leavers whose needs couldn't previously be met within current supported housing provision.
Southwold House and Andrew Millman Court is a supported housing scheme for up to 22 young people in Yate, South Gloucestershire.
The Council wants to minimise homelessness and maximise the chances for young people to enable them to transition effectively into adulthood, and to develop independence.
Providers are free to bid for both Lots, however the Council's preferred position is to award each Lot to different Providers. Providers are therefore asked to state their preferred Lot if bidding for both.
The duration of both contracts is 5 years, with the potential to extend for a further 2 years, making a total contract term of 7 years per contract. Any contract extensions or renewals will be dependent upon continued need for the services, satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
The anticipated contract start date for Woodleaze is 3rd May 2020, however this is subject to change due to the conversion of the building. A definite commencement date will be agreed with the successful provider.
The contract for Southwold House and Andrew Millman Court will start on 4th June 2020.
