Description

Wigan and Leigh Homes / Wigan Council are seeking to appoint a panel of experienced, competent and caring building contractors to the Specialist Minor Improvements Building Framework Agreement 2015 - 2017 (2019). The framework intends to cover all works relating to adaptations and minor improvement works to all premises maintained and operated for the disabled by Wigan and Leigh Homes / Wigan Council.

The expected budget for works procured through the framework is expected to be around £1m per annum with individual projects unlikely to exceed £50,000 in value. The framework will be for an initial period of two years from the date of commencement, expected to be November 2015, with an option for two further extensions of twelve months each. It is envisaged that between eight and ten contractors will be appointed to the framework agreement.

The closing date for final tenders is Monday 21st September 2015 at 12:00pm.

Note that this notice refers to a contract period of 24 months; this is the initial period of the framework agreement and not the period of contracts arising from the framework. The 'contract value' stated refers to the estimated total value of contracts called-off from the framework agreement during its initial two-year period.
