Description

The council requires cash to make emergency payments to residents and by offering the facility for residents to make cash payments for services cash is required to offer change etc in the instance of a cash payment being made.
The council issues cash payments from a range of sites across the borough to vulnerable residents, there currently is no alternative solution to direct cash payments to these residents. The payments are made in emergency situations where the resident needs cash to buy food and pay for essentials the immediate availability of the cash is essential and the risks to the welfare and wellbeing of these service users is high without access to this payment facility.
