Description

Derby City Council is seeking to secure the provision of a Needle Exchange for use in community pharmacies that are contracted to deliver the Needle Exchange Service in Derby City.
The goods to be supplied are pre prepared single use, sterile packs for use by both drug and steroid users. The supplier will hold a recognised quality standard.

27 pharmacies are currently commissioned in the city to deliver the Needle Exchange Service although this is subject to change during the course of the contract.
The initial contract period is 3 years; estimated to commence 1st April 2019 and expire 31st March 2022. There will be an option to extend the contract for 2 years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is 5 years.
Total contract value over 5 years is 550000GBP

For the supply of pre-packaged needle exchange goods to the community pharmacies delivering the Needle Exchange Service on behalf of Derby City Council.
The successful Supplier will be responsible for providing the supply of Needle Exchange Goods, liaising closely with the Contract Manager from Public Health.
