Description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of reconditioning the footway on Swindon Road, Wroughton between Berkeley Farm development and the entrance to Wood Farm. This extent has been split into a 4-phase programme. Tenderers are to provide costings for each phase individually as available funding may limit how much can be carried out overall. The four phases are:
• Phase 1 - Berkeley Farm Dairy entrance
• Phase 2 - Berkeley Farm to Old Dairy
• Phase 3 - Old Dairy to lamp column 53
• Phase 4 - Lamp column 53 to Wood Farm entrance

Project Description

The project will include the following elements:

• Siding out prior to footway works
• Installation of new path edgings if none are present (verge encroachment on to footway hides whether there are existing path edgings present)
• Replacement of existing kerbing
• Resetting levels of existing apparatus where necessary
• Resurfacing the footway (60mm binder & 30mm surface unless otherwise stated - binder layer thicknesses have been increased at accesses to neighbouring properties)
• Provision of appropriate traffic management (TM) to undertake the works safely
• Provide TM plans and working methodology to SBC prior to works commencing
