Description

London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is undertaking a project at Northbury Primary School in Barking.

The school's In School Provision (ISP) Unit for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is oversubscribed and the quality of learning and care is being compromised due to a lack of suitable dedicated space.
As the number of pupils with SEND continues to rise Children's Services have agreed that additional accommodation is required to address the insufficiency. The proposed new purpose-built, stand-alone single-storey 18-place ISP Unit will be accessed from the main playground into a canopied 'outdoor cloakroom' and sensory garden, accommodation comprises pupil toilets, hygiene room, therapy room, sensory room, a small kitchenette, small group room, a larger open-plan teaching space with direct access to an adjacent sensory garden.

Contractors must make themselves aware of the site layout, work requirements and the need to plan works, monitor safety on site and react promptly to changes in site conditions.

The Tender Documents provide greater details of the client's requirements for carrying out the works.

Site visits are strictly by appointment only.

Any questions regarding the tender must be addressed through the portal in the messaging section.
