Description

Lancaster University Student Records System (LUSI) is an in-house developed system, produced over many years and covering core, and not so core, aspects of the higher education academic model. It currently consists of a legacy, but still actively developed desktop app written in .net (c#, MSSQL) with windows integrated security. In addition, a more recent set of separate web applications written in Angular with token-based authentication and containerised .net core APIs which communicate with the same common MSSQL database that the desktop application uses.

We seek to move to an online only model with a domain-based architecture based more on microservices.

We are looking for a consultant that can work with our senior development team to analyse the current architecture, report on its suitability, design an ideal model and set out the steps we need to take to move towards it.

This includes, but may not be limited to the database architecture, API and middleware, the security model, the use and customisation of frameworks and the UX / UI tools used.

We anticipate a total of 4-6 weeks work.
