Description

Forensic Information Databases Service (FINDS) is part of Home Office Science and has responsibility for running and maintaining the National DNA Database. Pursuant to this objective, FINDS need to procure the services of a forensic DNA service provider to process DNA samples in relation to its Proficiency Testing Schemes. Additionally, FINDS operate its own DNA-clean laboratory and requires an environmental monitoring service to ensure its ongoing suitability for supplying proficiency testing samples to forensic laboratories around the UK. The purpose of this tender exercise is to appoint a single provider for both of these services. This opportunity is open to ISO 17025 accredited organisations who are also accredited to load to the NDNAD.
