Description

The Council requires a supplier for the provision to receive vitamins order, provide secure and appropriate temperature controlled dry storage, pick and pack to order, re-order the vitamins when stock is needed, and deliver these Vitamins to Children's Centres, Health Centres, General Practitioners Surgeries, and other nominal sites across Birmingham.

Additional storage will be required for small quantities of leaflets and brochures to accompany the vitamins to first time users. There is a requirement for the vitamins to be kept at a temperature of below 25 degrees.

The successful applicant is also required to collect vitamins already distributed and return them to storage if the ambient temperature rises above 25 degrees and return these when needed. The vitamins must be delivered in vehicles that have temperature controlled facilities.

This contract will be for a period of 2 + 1 year commencing 2nd November 2020 until 1st November 2023. The contract will be renewed on an annual basis depending on previous performance including the ability of the provider to deliver all orders in full and on time.
