Description

The Conference Park project comprises a new build 172 bed hotel and conference centre sited predominantly on previously undeveloped University land but will include the demolition of the existing brick built accommodation blocks sited on the edge of the development site. The project will also include the option for the major refurbishment of the adjacent Tudor style Grade 2* listed Garth House and the major refurbishment of Hornton Grange buildings and will complement the service delivery of the new hotel and conference centre. The procurement of the hotel and conference centre will be through OJEU using the competitive procedure with negotiation route based on a single stage D&B with novation tender route that will allow early design information issue leading to an early main contractor appointment and allow early contractor engaged into the design development and supply chain negotiations that will assist in reducing contractor design risks and costs. Garth House and Hornton Grange will be procured separately on a traditional with full quantities contract.
