Description

For the avoidance of doubt this is not a Call for Competition, this is to initiate a Market Engagement/Soft Market Testing process.

Staffordshire County Council is seeking to contract with Providers who can provide packages of care in the community for children and young people with disabilities who meet the threshold for Domiciliary Care Support.

Providers must ensure that each child/young person receives appropriate person centred care, based on an assessment of their needs and preferences.

Providers must have an understanding, experience and regard to the following:
• Care Quality Commission Guidance
• Care Act 2014
• Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• Children and Families Act 2014

The objective of this service is to provide flexible responsive Domiciliary Care in a timely, safe and dignified to support the needs of children, young people and their families within Staffordshire.

Those interested will be required to provide and evidence that they can deliver the following:
• Support for independent living
• Improved wellbeing for the young person and their family
• Unique and tailored package of support
• Sustained interaction within the family
• Partnership working and effective communication
with the family and professionals
• Developing networking opportunities for young people and families
• Positive changes to the quality of people's lives
• A genuine desire to influence change for others
• Innovative and resourceful solutions to challenges

Staffordshire County Council would like to hear from Providers who are interested and capable of delivering an excellent, high quality and outcome focussed service for children and young people with disabilities.

We would like to invite you to a Market Development Provider Workshop on Monday 4th June 2018 from 2pm until 4pm at the Rudyard Suite, Staffordshire Place 1, Stafford, ST16 2LP where you will have the opportunity to:
• Understand the demographics and service needs of local families
• Contribute to the shaping of services for children and young people with disabilities within Staffordshire
• Meet commissioners and procurement staff
