Description

The Council is currently consulting on its approach to Sensory Support Services, in collaboration with neighbouring councils South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset (BANES). The details of the consultation and how consultees might respond are available here:

The proposals include provision of a new contract for a habilitation service across the area. This service will provide training to children and young people and involves developing personal mobility, navigation and independent living skills.
The Council wishes to test the level of market interest in such a service before commencing any procurement process. The proposed contract period will potentially be for four years. It is anticipated that the contract will begin on the 1st April 2020. The estimated contract value will be approximately £386000 over 4 years.The level of interest shown in this market consultation will support the Council in considering possible procurement routes for this potential service.
