Description
The St Austell Bay Resilient Regeneration Project (StARR) aims to work across the whole of the Par and Sandy river catchments to reduce flood risks to communities living and working in the St Austell Bay area, particularly the people of Par and St Blazey.
Corserv on behalf of Cormac Solutions is seeking to appoint an experienced contractor to provide a design for division of SUDs ponds to hold differential water head of 1000mm on the upstream face and 250mm on the downstream face, check dams are required to be vegetated upon completion. Geotechnical and structural design calculations to be provided by proposed systems supplier, designed to satisfy bearing, sliding and over turning (as a minimum). Check dams to be created from Vegetated Wall system utilising a GTX bag and interlocking plate system to create a naturally resilient geo-modular structure using a mechanically stabilised earth system that meets testing standards detailed in performance specification and or to supply check dams in accordance with above design and or to install check dams in accordance with above design.
Rosehill site area is to the south of Cornhill Road and to the west of the A390 Rosehill Road. The NGR of the approximate centre of the area is SX 06589 54423. The design/installation/works are to be carried out in accordance with all documents and drawings contained within the RFQ.
The intention is to award the Contract to the most economically advantageous tenderer based on 30% Quality and 70% Price.
This project has been part-financed by grant funding from the European Regional Development Fund and will be subject to conditions imposed by the funding body. Suppliers will be expected to comply with the relevant requirements and any associated regulations such as procurement, publicity, and eligibility criteria.
