Thanet District Council is seeking to remove the current safety handrail system to the central spine and #2 berth's five mooring dolphins (2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6), also to the last position on berth#3 and replace it with an economically beneficial and easy maintenance system, to prevent falls from the walkways. This is to be confirmed by the prospective contractor on their reconnaissance/quantity survey. It is expected to have a minimum lifespan of 15 years.

The Contract is anticipated to commence upon 22nd January 2021 for a duration of 16 weeks not including Bank Holidays and TDC shutdowns.
