Description

The MCA requires a study to:
1.Characterise the challenges presented in regulating the safety, environmental impact and security of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS).
2.Characterise other nations' approaches and international approaches to the regulation of MASS.
3.Identify lessons from the approaches adopted by regulatory regimes in other sectors in regulating the safety, environmental impact and security of autonomy, complex systems and novel technologies.
