Description

The Derbyshire Pension Fund (DPF or the Fund), administered by Derbyshire County Council (the Council), has assets under management of around £6.3bn. There are approximately 330 employers in the Fund, including Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, all the district and borough councils in Derbyshire, Peak District National Park Authority, Derbyshire Police Authority, Derbyshire Fire Authority, Derby College, Chesterfield College, University of Derby, a host of town and parish councils and a large group of smaller employers via admission arrangements. At 31 December 2021, the Fund had 104,000 member records, comprising 38,000 active records, 33,000 deferred beneficiary records and 33,000 records in respect of members in receipt of a pension.

The fixed term agreement with the Fund's current external advisor expires on 30 June 2022. Therefore, the Fund's Pensions and Investments Committee is seeking to appoint a new external advisor by the end of June 2022 so that they can attend their first Pensions and Investments Committee meeting in September 2022. The contract will be for a fixed term period of three years with an option for the Council to award annual extensions for a further two years (i.e. a total of five years).
