Description

Tenders are invited for the Colyear St Demolition and Asbestos Clearance of Pennine Hotel and Brannigans (Phase 1).

Derby City Council (DCC) wishes to demolish various structures at Colyear Street, Derby which include; the former Pennine Hotel (including fire escape and chimney) and Brannigan's Night Club (formerly Redemption Night Club). Both the aforementioned buildings are unoccupied however various components need to be retained which service adjoining buildings. The project is the first of two phases with the second phase comprising of adjoining buildings which include; Syn Nightclub (formerly the Pink Coconut) (unoccupied), NCP Car Park - Multi-Storey Car Park (currently occupied), Mackenzie Sports Lounge (formerly the Casino) (unoccupied) and Laurie House (the office block) (part-occupied). The second phase is excluded from these Works and will be tendered in a separate procurement exercise at a later date.

The form of contract to be used is the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract

The initial contract period is 45 weeks; the contract is estimated to commence 30 November 2020 and expire 8 October 2021 (this is the latest possible date. Tenderers should put forward their most economical programme in their tender response).

It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 12:00 on Monday 21 September 2020
