Description

The DCMS cultural agencies wish jointly to commission research into the reasons why culture (in its broad sense) was or was not included in bids made by the 100 towns eligible for public investment through the Towns Fund and what lessons can be learned from the application process. Of the 100 bids, only a proportion included cultural projects, with sport perhaps being least well represented. By looking into the decision-making process of a sample of bids and talking to those involved, the cultural agencies hope to gain insight into what worked, for whom and why.
