Description

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency requires the appointment of an experienced training provider to design and deliver a Patient and Public Engagement and Involvement Training Programme.

The Agency has committed to delivering a step-change in the way it engages with patients and the public, putting the views and interests of patients and the public at the heart of its decision-making and culture.

The Independent Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Review has placed added focus and urgency on the need to adopt a more transparent, responsive and systematic approach to listening to and involving patients.

The Agency's ambition - to become a patient-focused regulator which recognises patients as partners - will mean transforming its activity, culture and reputation in the minds of many patient groups.

The training provider and nominated personnel including any sub-contractors/third parties should have relevant experience of designing and delivering similar-comparable courses. It is also desirable that the provider has a track record in patient and public engagement and involvement and where possible experience in delivering interventions within the healthcare sector.

The Contract shall commence w-c 14 September 2020.
