Description
The scope of this project is to seek an events conference organiser to facilitate the Northern Powerhouse Energy Conference in Hull.
The company must have a proven track record in organising low carbon energy and business conferences including existing relationships and networks with key players in the energy sector.
The Humber LEP has been invited to host a Northern Powerhouse Energy Conference in Hull on behalf of the Northern Powerhouse 11 (the 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships within the Northern Powerhouse region) (NP11). The event is being supported by Government departments and it is expected that there will be ministerial involvement.
It is intended that the event will take place over 2/3 days in Hull, (w/c 4 Nov 2019) with each day tailored to a different audience and set of outcomes.
The objectives of the conference are to:
• Showcase the Northern Powerhouse's capabilities and future development potential in the fields of energy, decarbonisation and clean growth to businesses, Government, stakeholders and potential investors.
• Set out an NP11/Northern Powerhouse approach to energy, decarbonisation and clean growth - re-establishing the North's leadership of these areas.
• Engage northern businesses in the clean growth agenda and supply chain opportunities.
• Provide an opportunity for businesses and academics within these sectors to network, present their work and seek new openings
• Attract domestic and overseas delegations to explore trade and investment opportunities with the NP11 LEP's and businesses, in association with the Department for International Trade (DTI).
• Provide an opportunity for Government ministers to discuss policy with an influential Northern and business and stakeholder audience.
