Description
The Centre for Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) at the University Of Nottingham (UoN) works with partners from the European aerospace industry to deliver industrially focused research into aerospace assembly systems. CAM is part of a consortium with
GE Aviation to design, manufacture and assemble a wing structure for Airbus Helicopter's 'Rapid and Cost Effective Rotorcraft' concept demonstrator, known as RACER.
The RACER programme is partially funded by the European Union's 'Clean Sky 2' initiative.
The Advanced Wing Structure for Rotorcraft Additional Lift demonstrator (ASTRAL) project requires tooling to securely hold and accurately locate components during assembly of the wings. CAM seeks a tooling specialist to provide the detail design and manufacture of this hardware
