Description

Birmingham City Council is carrying out a market sounding exercise in respect of the Management of permanent and transit Residential Sites for the Gypsy, Roma and Travelling (GRT) Communities.

The Council is considering its arrangements for future service provision. In particular the Council is considering letting a contract to a suitable provider on a management basis to cover the following requirements:

a) Management of both permanent and transit sites
b) Input into developing approach and determining best practice for site management and provision for the GRT Communities including welfare and safeguarding.
c) Assist and work with the Council's enforcement team with regard to GRT provision following eviction of unauthorised encampments.
d) Effective and timely placement and allocation of individual pitches
e) Operational management of sites and occupants to include:
i. Rent collection
ii. Monitoring and enforcement of conditions of occupation including working with the Council to tackle any Anti-Social Behaviour etc.
f) Manage evictions where appropriate from authorised sites in conjunction with the Council's enforcement team and bailiffs
