Description

Works to be undertaken by Contractor: Plane and resurface carriageway as per Mini Comp PAN2575 Surface & Civil Drawings. & Carriageway Traffic Diversion Drawings. Carriageway works are to commence on 10th July 2021.The extents of the footway works to be carried is shown on Drawing N116761C/H&BMT/HS/001.The works to be carried out include removal of the existing flagged/blocked paved areas and replacing with blacktop, replacing existing dished channels with fluted, replacing existing footway gullies with new, adjusting utility covers as required, replacing visi rail, planing existing blacktop footways to a depth of 20mm and resurfacing, take up and relay works to tie in areas, eding and tactile paving replacement & associated works included within the boq. The contractor is to programme the footway works sectionally to reduce disruption with no more than 100m excavated on the inbound and outbound side at one time and is required to start on or after 26th June but no later than 26th July. The Contractor is allowed to open sections once surfaced to binder level provided all potential trip hazards are ramped. All site safety and advanced warning to be provided by the contactor including pedestrian marshals as indicated in the works boq. Letter drop to local residents also to be carried out by the contactor two week prior to works commencing onsite. All lining will be arranged by LCC using our contractor WJ South LInkline who will require access once/during surfacing. The contractor is also to display onsite the attached Dft logo and wording on all advanced warning sign.
