Description

The Department for International Trade ("DIT") has a requirement for the provision of DIT Civil National Shipbuilding Strategy Export Plan - Offshore Wind Vessels in Europe. The Secretary of State for DIT is the contracting authority.

The full specification is provided with the Invitation to Tender but in summary the requirement is to help DIT Maritime team to develop a Civil Export Plan to support the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) and requires the Contractor to identify the size, scale and value of future vessels builds (and if possible, refit and repair opportunities) related to offshore wind developments in Europe. UK yards can then use this data to align their resources and investment behind the detail of the future builds programme and develop a future market engagement strategy - with the support of DIT / HMG.

The contract shall be for a period of 2 months. The requirement has an estimates total value of £20,000 (ex-VAT) and this value includes and available contract option(s). Bidders will be expected to demonstrate their tenders will continue to deliver value for money throughout the period of the contract.

DIT has conducted a Cyber Risk Assessment to identify the level of cyber risk to this requirement. It has been identified that Cyber Essentials or equivalent is required and that the Contractor follows the principles of ISO27001. However, the Authority reserves the right to carry-out an information security risk assessment using NIST800-53 and ISO27005 standards.

DIT is using e-tendering for this procurement which means this Invitation to Tender (ITT) and the forms for submitting a response are only available in electronic form which can be accesses via your web browser at: http://uktrade.app.jaggaer.com/
Bidders should read all the instructions and documents thoroughly and follow the defined processes to comply with our requirements.
