Description

Section 46 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 19841 places a duty on a Local Authority to make arrangements for the burial, or cremation, of any person who dies in its area, where the authority is satisfied that no other arrangements have been or are being made. This tender is intended to secure a Service Provider to manage and implement these arrangements on behalf of the Council, relating to its duties regarding welfare funerals.
