Description

Procurement Description:
Arden & GEM CSU on behalf of NHS England North Midlands & NHS Greater Nottingham Clinical Commissioning Partnership, are undertaking an urgent procurement process to secure a caretaker for the provision of primary medical services at the Whyburn Medical Practice in Hucknall, Nottingham. This will be on an interim basis whilst longer term service arrangements are considered. The caretaking contract will be for 12 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The practice has a register population of 11,900 patients. Tender documentation will be available at https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=UK in due course most preferably in January 2019.

It is expected that TUPE will apply and the current practice staff will be given the opportunity to TUPE into the new caretaking arrangement. The service must be provided from the existing premises - the successful provider will be expected to secure a documented tenancy agreement with NHS Property Services as landlord of the Health Centre, for the duration of the contract before service commencement.

Anticipated contract value excluding V.A.T.:
It is anticipated that the contract resultant from this procurement will have a contract value of £1,100,000 per annum on a pro-rata basis. The indicated contract value is exclusive of V.A.T.

Contract commencement date:
The contract will commence on 1st June 2019 and the practice will need to be fully functioning with registration with the Care Quality Commission and delivering NHS primary medical services from 08:00 a.m. on 1st June 2019 to ensure continuity of services for patients.
