Description

Milton Keynes Council has a requirement to design and build a new corporate website and intranet due to the current supplier contract ending August 2020.
To progress this, we are initially seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who would be interested in supplying a website, intranet or both.
We are transforming the way we deliver services to our customers. Our Customer Experience Transformation Programme aim is to deliver 'Customer Services that are digitally enabled, easily accessible and focused on delivering effective, excellent services that are embedded throughout the Council'. Our website will be a key enabler in achieving these outcomes.
Our current website achieves 8.4 million page hits per year with just over 3,000 pages of content. https://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk
Having an agile work force, we also need an intranet that enables staff to access tools and information they need to assist in their day to day work along with being a two way communications hub that ensures all employees feel part of and contribute to the organisation.
Vision
Milton Keynes Council wants to maintain its SOCITM 4 star rating and become an award winning website. The website will put the customer first and be the customer's choice to access services rather than the traditional face to face and telephone access channels. In 2018 we won Digital Council of the Year due to our innovative approach. We want to further explore and utilise emerging technologies to ensure our customers have an excellent experience when accessing services, so we are looking for a website that will enable our digital vision.
We will invite interested suppliers to present to a group of stakeholders, what their solution can offer and show the 'art of the possible' to assist us in finalising our requirements.
