Description

ESPO is undertaking a procurement process to identify and appoint a number of suppliers to supply library stock. The framework will include four lots as follows:

• Lot 1 - Adult Fiction, Non-Fiction and Reference Materials. Suppliers will be expected to be able to provide stock from within all of the categories.
• Lot 2 - Children's Fiction and Non-Fiction. Suppliers will be expected to be able to provide stock from within all of the categories.
• Lot 3 - Audio-Visual - including CDs and DVDs. Suppliers will be expected to be able to provide stock from within all of the categories.
• Lot 4 - Foreign Language - including adult fiction, adult non-fiction, children's fiction, and children's non-fiction.

Stock will generally be required to be supplied 'serviced', i.e. complete with stock labels, date stamps, RFID tags, etc.

Customers will primarily be local authorities, but could also include; any eligible body responsible for ordering public library stock, education establishments, such as universities, among others.

It is anticipated that between 3 and 5 Suppliers shall be awarded a place on the Framework for each lot.

The framework agreement has the option to extend for up to a further 12 months. The total estimated value stated includes the option period.

As a Central Purchasing Body as defined by the EU Procurement Directive 2014/24/EU, the Framework Agreement is open for use by Public Bodies (defined https://www.espo.org/ESPO/media/Documents/FAQs/ESPO-s_powers_to_trade__website_-2016-12-22.pdf) that also fall into one of the following classifications of user throughout all administrative regions of the UK: Local Authorities; Educational Establishments (including Academies); Central Government Departments and Agencies; Police, Fire & Rescue and Coastguard Emergency Services; NHS and HSC Bodies, including Ambulance Services; Registered Charities; Registered Social Landlords; or any public body established by or under the Scotland Act 1998 or any Act of the Scottish Parliament.
