Description
The Public Health Department for Westminster City Council (WCC) and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) have appointed Central North West London NHS Trust (CNWL) to deliver a specialised Club Drug Clinic that specialises In community detoxification of NPS. The Club Drug Clinic will develop programmes and packages of care for the increasing trend of sexual health and drug and alcohol use.
The WCC contract will be for a period of two years . Over the next two years Public Health commissioners and the Club Drug Clinic will work to improve engagement within the borough of Westminster particularly with young people, women and wider vulnerability groups. The research from NEPTUNE has shown an increase in NPS use from this cohort and substances are accessed online, this has been more prevalent during the pandemic.
