Description

Based adjacent to the Royal Derby Hospital site, located three miles from the city centre, the Radbourne Unit is the Trust's main inpatient service for Derby and South Derbyshire residents with acute mental health needs. The Radbourne Unit consists of four adult acute inpatient wards called Ward 33, Ward 34, Ward 35 and Ward 36, an enhanced care ward (ECW), an electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) team, occupational therapy and the crisis resolution and home treatment services.
The site vehicular entrance is approached off the Royal Derby Hospital Loop Road East, from the hospital's Entrance B off Uttoxeter Road. Demand for parking spaces within the Radbourne Unit site is high, especially during visitor periods and at staff shift changeover times.
The removal of existing vinyl up-turned skirting detail including cap & cove system. The installation of new vinyl safety flooring including cap & cove detail. The works to be conducted will be within a live mental health in-patient environment for Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust . Evidence of experience of working in these areas will be required from contractors tendering for this project.
