Description

The Broads Authority is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to carry out millwrighting works at Mutton's Mill. Mutton's Mill is a grade II* listed drainage mill situated on Halvergate Marshes and within the Halvergate Marshes Conservation Area.

A programme of repair is being carried out as part of the Water Mills and Marshes project, led by the Broads Authority and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

One of the objectives of the project is to provide construction students at City College Norwich with experience and knowledge of traditional building skills and so there will be an expectation that the successful millwright will provide some guidance to students and can obtain a clear DBS check.

It is anticipated that the wider repair programme and millwrights' work will commence late summer 2021 and will take approximately 1 year.
