Description
The Works comprise the construction of a new sports pavilion building comprising 4 Nr team changing facilities, 2 Nr officials changing facilities, multi use club room, bar and kitchen facilities together with associated ancillary rooms, services, drainage and external works. The Contractor is required to carry out and complete the whole of the Works to the standards set out in the Contract Documents and to maintain the whole of the Works in a clean, tidy and well organised manner throughout the duration of the Contract. Notwithstanding any other obligations in respect of protecting and cleaning the Works, the Contractor shall carry out all work necessary up to the issue of the Practical Completion Statement for the Works. The Contractor shall ensure that the Employer is handed the Works in a pristine condition, free of all surface marks, scratches, dust etc. The Contract shall be the current Joint Contracts Tribunal Limited 2011 Design and Build Contract (DB) as amended by the 'Schedule of Amendments to the JCT 2011 Edition of The Design and Build Contract (DB)' included at Appendix 'C' of these Employer's Requirements. It should be noted it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
