Description

Islington Council's CCTV control room monitors 155 public space cameras with 21 4GHD cameras and 10 ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras. CCTV is used onthe streets, for public buildings and also key council sites such as Islington and St Pancras
Cemetery. We also can access the cameras from housing estates across the Borough where we provide a concierge service to some of our larger estates and tower blocks. CCTV provides surveillance to specific areas and locations which provide better security for residents and visitors to the area, reduce the fear of crime and help to detect and prevent crime.
