Description

The Heritage Buddies project is a 9-month pilot looking to test and trial training of existing volunteers in linking people in need to social prescribing through engagement with local heritage and the local historic environment in a place. The social prescribing "buddies" model is part of the "whole-community approach to social prescribing", as adopted by the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP). It is based on utilising existing local community, heritage or other volunteering schemes for identifying people that can benefit from heritage wellbeing activities and helping them access these.
