Description

NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT PACKAGE

A47 / A11 Thickthorn Interchange

Galliford Try, as the East Region Delivery Partner are delivering the A47 / A11 Thickthorn Interchange project in the county of Norfolk in partnership with Highways England. The project will help relieve congestion at Thickthorn junction by providing two new free-flowing slip roads that will connect the A47 with the A11. The new slip roads will re-route traffic away from the junction and flow it under new underpasses.

The project has recently submitted a Development Consent Order to the Planning Inspectorate and the project is forecast to commence on site in early 2023 and will take around 2 years to complete.

Package: Formwork, Reinforcement and Concrete (FRC)

Outline Scope of Works

The FRC Package consists of two parts:

Stage 1: Early Contractor Involvement. To provide technical and commercial input into the detailed design phase and to formulate the budget and programme for the works.

Stage 2: Construction. To provide all necessary supervision, labour, plant and materials required to construct the temporary formwork, falsework and access scaffolds to build the permanent reinforced concrete structures that will form parts of the new highway network. There are 8 new structures proposed.
