Description

The University is seeking a strategic partner to deliver managed infrastructure services for Oracle Campus Solutions.

This approach will seek to deliver a support model which:

o Eliminates as far as is possible the need to own both hardware and the supporting operating system environments - i.e. reduces the need for capital to near zero
o Provides a more scalable platform - the ability to throttle capacity up and down, as the business demand changes.
o Gives the business a clear and transparent cost model of providing the core platform.
o Gains from economies of scale by sharing infrastructure resources and new technologies, better than we are able to do for ourselves.
o A more responsive DR capability with a shorter RTO/RPO.
o The ability to leverage partner resources as required.
o Delivers software development, configuration and support of the required skill level, with flexible capacity as required.
o Provides a change delivery engagement model to deliver the extensive demand plan
o Positions the University to leverage that platform going forward.
o Delivers parity of service across all University locations including Malaysia and China.

The University will need to be confident the approaches for development and application support and configuration adequately deliver the requisite level of capability across the duration of the contract whilst also delivering approaches which will deliver cost reduction over the life of the engagement.
