Description

NHS Arden and GEM CSU on behalf of NHS England - Midlands & East (West Midlands) and NHS Wolverhampton CCG (referred to as the Commissioners) under fully delegated commissioning arrangements is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the services of Primary Care Medical Services for Lot 1: Pennfields Health Centre and Lot 2: Bilston Urban Village and Ettingshall Medical Centre in Wolverhampton.

The Contract is expected to run from 1st April 2019 for a period of 5 years with an option to extend for a further 5 years. Deadline for ITT responses is 10:00am on 1st November 2018.

Pennfields Medical Centre currently opens 5 days per week, 8.30 am - 6.30 pm. It is located on Upper Zoar Street, Pennfields, Wolverhampton. The latest CQC inspection was carried out on 11 February 2016 and was rated as Good. The practice is aligned to a local model of care.

The estimated contract value for 5 years is £2,137,697 excluding enhanced services and QAF.
The estimated contract value for 10 years is £4,275,394 excluding enhanced services and QAF.

Bidders are to note, this Contract is for two patient lists which are being procured as one.

practices are housed in a purpose built modular building. The long term strategy is for one building central to both areas to be developed.

Bilston Urban Village currently opens 5 days per week, 8.30 am - 6.30 pm. It is located on Bankfield Road, Bilston, Wolverhampton and is based in an area currently undergoing redevelopment with more than 450 new houses planned locally to the practice. The latest CQC inspection was carried out on 31 May 2017 and was rated as Good.

Ettingshall Medical Centre opens 5 days per week, 8.30 am - 6.30 pm. It is located on Herbert Street, Bilston, Wolverhampton. A CQC inspection has not been completed under the current providers.


The estimated contract value for 5 years is £5,044,710 excluding enhanced services and QAF.
The estimated contract value for 10 years is £10,089,420 excluding enhanced services and QAF.

Arden & GEM CSU is managing this Procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
(the "Regulations"). The Services are being procured as "Schedule 3 - Social and Other Specific Services" and
AGCSU is bound only by those parts of the Regulations applying to Schedule 3 services.
