Description

Somerset County Council is seeking to commission a service to support Somerset families using local volunteers in each district area who can offer help and bespoke support at a time of crisis. The service is required across the whole of Somerset and will be commissioned as 4 separate lots based on location:

Lot 1: Somerset Family Support Service delivery in Somerset West and Taunton
Lot 2: Somerset Family Support Service delivery in Sedgemoor
Lot 3: Somerset Family Support Service delivery in South Somerset
Lot 4: Somerset Family Support Service delivery in Mendip

The Service Provider/s is to enable the development of strong relationships between volunteers and families, strengthening family capacity and resilience and promoting self-sufficiency through both modelling behaviours and providing support for positive parenting.

The Authority is conducting this procurement process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This tender opportunity falls within Schedule 3 of the Regulations (Social and Other Specific Services) and below the Light Touch Regime threshold. Whilst this means that this Tender is exempt from UK procurement rules, it will be run in accordance with the Treaty principles of transparency, non-discrimination, equal treatment, mutual recognition and proportionality.
