Description

Modification Notice
Original description: Provision of Vision Testing Services
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has established a Managed Service Contract with a prime contractor to deliver visual field and actuity testing services. The agreement forms a direct contract between DVLA and the prime contractor, for which the prime contractor will be responsible for managing the provision of visual field and actuity tests when requested by DVLA.
Description of the modifications
The procurement timetable originally secured sufficient time to cater for exit and transition as part of delivery, however the original plan has been impacted considerably by:

•Cabinet office and DfT Procurement Assurance Board dictating a change in contract model which entailed significant re-drafting
•Further clarification as part of specification assurance for the future procurement.

Therefore extension of the term of contract up to 9 months to allow for competition.
