Description
The project is for the supply of fully integrated tree pit systems for the semi-mature tree planting scheme, within the Friargate North and Ringway (FNR) project based in Preston. Technical assistance and the provision of pit construction drawings and installation instructions are required as part of the supply package.
The FNR project will create a pedestrian and cycle friendly space with new high-quality paving, tree planting, and other features such as public seating, space for outdoor markets and alfresco dining opportunities.
The installation of the tree pit system and planting works will be undertaken by the main contractor, Lancashire County Council (LCC) Highways. The successful supplier will need to work closely with the main contractor on the details, logistics and timing of the construction of the tree pits, which is being undertaken by the main contractor.
