Description

The provider will offer a range of recovery and preventative focussed educational programmes. This is primarily to those clients that have identified short term needs with regard to their mental health around anxiety and depression. There is scope for further development and it is anticipated the provider will consider developing their programme to suit. This will be in agreement with SCC Commissioners
The aim of the service is to work to build resilience and help individuals to develop positive coping strategies in their lives enabling them to manage their mental health and prevent the need for longer term support. This approach also supports self-growth and development, so that individuals can access mainstream activities within their community which may include support to return to work, education, volunteering and employment.
This educationally focussed service prevents the need for support from long term services and actively avoids hospital admissions.
The service has the following specific features:

• Individuals have needs met and are discharged to primary care/ GP

• Anxiety Management

With the scope to mobilise and grow the offer in consultation and agreement with SCC
The workbooks that are supplied are copyrighted to SHSC and will be used by the provider. We expect no deviation from the content; however the delivery can be altered to suit the audience. We will need the provider to use the most recent version of the workbooks which are attached in the appendix below.
Both areas cover a range of subjects aimed at recovery
